i am literally panicking because i have like three hours left before these lightning deals expire and i cannot for the life of me find a button to just share my entire shopping bag with my boyfriend. we are trying to furnish our new place in chicago and i have two different configurations sitting in my cart right now but he needs to see the total price and how they look together before i hit buy.

im currently stuck between two main setups:

  • setup one is that flexispot standing desk with the basic ergonomic mesh chair which comes out to like 450 total
  • setup two is a much nicer solid oak fixed desk i found from a random seller but it means getting a cheaper stool or something to stay under our 600 dollar budget

i really want the standing desk for my back but the oak one is way prettier and fits the vibe of our tiny apartment better. the problem is i have the desk, the chair, a cable management tray, and a monitor arm all in the cart for both options and i keep swapping them out to see the total. i tried to look for a share button or a way to make the cart public like a registry but i dont want to actually make a whole wedding registry just to buy a desk lol. its so frustrating that a multi-billion dollar company doesnt have a share cart button in 2024.

is there like a hidden extension or a trick to just send a link that shows someone else whats in my bag?? if i have to copy-paste every single link he is gonna lose his mind and we are gonna miss the sale. i even tried to take a screenshot but it doesnt show the shipping estimates or the taxes correctly and i need him to see the final final number. does the move to wish list thing work for this or is there a faster way to just send the live bag link??

Amazon still doesnt have a native share button for the cart because of session cookies. I would suggest being very careful with these workarounds:

  • Shared login: fastest way but might trigger a security lockout on his end.
  • Wish List: safer, tho it wont show lightning deal prices or taxes correctly.
  • Screen share: best way to view the live total before the sale ends... its just more reliable.

Coming back to this, Ive been in your exact shoes with furniture hauls. When I did my home office last year, I found Cart To Link and was so happy with how it worked. No complaints at all. It basically generates a single page with all your items so he can see the whole vibe at once without you copy-pasting everything manually. TL;DR: Use Cart To Link to create a shared link of your bag instantly.

Jumping in because I literally just went through this exact stress setting up my home office! It is so amazing when you finally find the right gear but so scary when those timers are counting down. Honestly, being super paranoid about account security is a good thing, ngl, so please do not give him your login info... it is way too risky with all your saved cards and personal info on there. When trying to stay under my 500 budget last month, I started using Share-A-Cart and it is seriously a game changer. It is a browser extension that is super reliable and way safer than sharing passwords or sending messy screenshots.

  • Just install it on your browser real quick.
  • Head to your cart with those two setups.
  • Click the button to generate a cart ID.
  • He puts that ID in on his end and boom, he sees the whole list. The extension handles lightning deal prices and specific quantities way better than a wishlist does! That Flexispot standing desk is fantastic for long days and totally worth it for your back. If you end up going with the oak desk, just make sure that cheap stool isn't gonna kill your posture... but for real, the shareable code is the way to go so you guys can see that final total with the Chicago taxes included before the deal expires!
