Im in a huge rush because I need to get all these supplies ordered for a community center project by tomorrow morning or they wont arrive before the weekend. I have about $800 worth of tools and paint stuff sitting in my cart right now but the treasurer needs to actually pay for it with the centers card and we are trying to figure out the fastest way to get my exact cart over to her without me just handing over my password which feels super sketch even though I trust her.
I'm basically looking at two options right now but I'm torn. First one is using one of those Chrome extensions like Share-A-Cart or something similar but I’ve never used them and I’m worried about some random app having access to my Amazon account data or it messing up the checkout process. The other way is just me taking a bunch of screenshots of every item and sending them over so she can find them manually but that feels like it’s gonna take forever and she might buy the wrong size or brand if Im not careful and then we've wasted a bunch of money we dont have.
Has anyone used those cart sharing apps recently and are they actually safe for big orders? Or is there a way to do this through Amazon directly that Im just missing because I'm stressing out over this deadline?...
I totally get the deadline pressure. Last year I had to coordinate a huge hardware buy for a server rack setup and was in the same spot. Trying the manual screenshot thing first was a mistake because the buyer got the wrong cable lengths. Listings look way too similar sometimes and its kinda stressful. I ended up using a cart sharing extension and it basically just exports the product IDs into a code that the other person imports. Heres what I noticed from a technical side:
Honestly, skip the screenshots. In my experience, the most secure way without using third-party apps is just moving everything into an Amazon Wish List. You can set the list to shared and send the treasurer a direct link. They can literally click add all to cart on their end. Over the years, it's the only way I trust for big orders. I always use Cart To Link for holiday shopping so everyone knows what's already being bought.
