Is there an actual way to share my entire Amazon cart with other people for a group buy or do I have to keep sending individual links like it is 2010? I have been a Prime member for ages and I usually know my way around the UI but I am totally stumped here. My roommates and I are trying to coordinate a huge gear haul for a Zion camping trip in three weeks and we have a strict $600 budget.
I tried making a public Wish List and inviting them to collaborate but it is not the same as having a shared active cart where we can see the shipping totals and taxes together. Is there a specific setting I am missing in the account dashboard or do I need to use one of those third-party browser extensions? Just trying to avoid a massive headache when we go to checkout...
> Honestly, its pretty wild that Amazon still hasn't added a native share button... Yeah, its honestly super disappointing. Just a warning tho, stay away from those third-party extensions. I had issues with them being buggy and potentially unsafe for account security. They arent as good as expected and could put your Prime info at risk. Better to just manually track everything in a shared doc, even if it feels like 2010.
Honestly, its pretty wild that Amazon still hasn't added a native share button after all these years. In my experience, trying to use the Wish List collab feature for a group buy is a total recipe for disaster because the totals never match up at checkout once you add in tax and shipping. Over the years I've tried a bunch of workarounds but I've been using Cart To Link for my hiking trips lately and it basically solves the 2010 manual link problem. Just be careful though... if one of your roommates clicks the link and then someone else adds stuff later, it can get messy with the sync. Also, watch out for those lightning deals since they can expire while you guys are still debating. It's way easier than the copy-paste nightmare tho and should keep you guys under that 600 dollar cap.
