I have been spending way too much time this week picking out organizers and spice jars for our kitchen remodel. My husband and I finally set aside about 450 bucks to get everything sorted by Saturday but the problem is I have everything sitting in my personal Amazon cart and he is the one with the Prime membership. The specific credit card we use for house stuff is already saved on his account anyway so it would be way easier if he just checked out on his end.
I did a bit of googling and saw people talking about Amazon Household where you link your accounts together. I checked it out but it seems like that is more for sharing Prime Video or Kindle books? I couldnt really find a clear answer if it lets you just swap a full cart over or if I have to go through and make a public wish list and then have him add each thing one by one... which sounds like a total nightmare since I have like 35 items in there right now including:
I also saw some old post about a share cart button but I dont see that anywhere on my app or the desktop site and I am worried it was a third party thing that doesnt work anymore. Is there an actual button or a simple way to just push my whole cart over to his login so he can pay for it all at once?
Regarding what #1 said about "Yeah, Amazon makes this way harder than it..."
Yeah, Amazon makes this way harder than it needs to be tbh. Household is basically just for sharing movies or books, so dont waste your time digging through those settings lol. I spent forever trying to find a magic share button too but it just doesnt exist natively. I went through this exact same mess when we did our pantry last year. Here is how it usually goes down:
> I couldnt really find a clear answer if it lets you just swap a full cart over Unfortunately, the wishlist route is a total drag. I tried doing that last year for our bathroom remodel and half the items didnt transfer right. It was honestly a mess. Even sharing login info is a security risk. Then I found Cart To Link which works way better for sending a full cart. Wishlists are just too clunky for 35 items.
