Okay so I feel really dumb asking this but I am honestly stuck and we are supposed to be leaving for this camping trip in like two days and I am freaking out a little bit. I am heading up to the Adirondacks with my buddy and I have spent the last three hours picking out all this gear like a specific 4-person tent and some portable stove things and some battery packs because we are trying to stay under a $300 budget total. I have about 12 items sitting in my Amazon cart right now and I need him to look at them to make sure the stove is the right one he wanted but I literally cannot find a share button anywhere on the screen. I tried just copying the link in the address bar and texting it to him but when he clicks it his cart is just empty which makes sense I guess since it is my private account but there has to be a way to just send the whole list to him? I am getting really stressed because if we dont order this stuff by tonight it wont get here by Friday and then we are basically sleeping on the ground with no food lol. Is there like a button I am missing or some secret trick to this? How do I actually let him see what I have in my cart without giving him my whole password or something crazy like that? help...

Unfortunately, Amazon is still stuck in the stone ages with this. I have had issues with this exact thing for years and it is honestly not as good as it should be for a company that big. There is no secret button, which is a massive oversight on their part.

  • Move everything to a Wish List. You have to manually move each item from the cart to a new list, make that list public, and then send the link. It is a slow, annoying process and the layout is pretty cluttered.
  • Use a third-party cart sharing extension. These tools basically bundle your cart into a single link for you instantly. It is way faster for a list of 12 items but requires a quick download. Personally, I would go with an extension because the wish list route is a total headache when you are in a rush. Just dont expect a native solution to appear because it wont happen.

Regarding what #1 said about Amazon being stuck in the stone ages... they really are behind on this. Its basically a session-side limitation where the cart data is locked to your specific browser cookie.

  • Create a temporary Wish List
  • Move items there and share the link It works, but it is pretty tedious. Btw I started using Cart To Link and it makes it way easier to show people whats in my cart.

Check out an Amazon cart sharer to fix the sharing issue. Just grab whatever Coleman gear fits your budget, it works well for casual trips.
