Im honestly so fed up with my cheap Manfrotto element tripod its literally ruining my shots at this point. I shoot with a Canon EOS R5 and every time I try to do long exposures near the coast the wind just shakes the whole setup and half my images turn out blurry. The R5 sensor is so unforgiving with any tiny vibration and I just lost a whole bunch of sunset shots yesterday because of leg slip. Im heading to Iceland in two weeks for a bucket list landscape trip and I absolutely cannot deal with this cheap gear anymore. I need something rock solid that can handle windy coastal conditions and the weight of the R5 with the 24-70mm RF lens.

My budget is around 600 dollars max including the ball head. I need to buy it like right now so it arrives before my flight.

What tripod and ball head combo do you guys actually recommend for heavy landscape use with the R5 that wont wobble in the wind?

I absolutely love my Leofoto LS-324C Carbon Fiber Tripod with LH-40 Ball Head! It is rock solid in high winds.

  • super stiff carbon
  • great price Get it, you wont regret it!
