honestly my current cheap desk from target is driving me insane it wobbles every time i type and im so anxious my monitor is just gonna tip over one of these days... my back has been killing me working from my apartment in seattle and i really need a standing desk but my budget is super tight like 250 max.

i found someone nearby selling a used ikea idasen for 200 bucks flat. i know they are like 600 new but im worried if its gonna be just as shaky as this piece of junk i have now. do you guys think 200 is actually a good deal for this or should i keep looking...

Honestly for 200 bucks that is a total steal. I went through three different cheap desks before I finally caved and bought an Idasen used last year. My old desk used to shake so bad my coffee would literally ripple every time I typed, which drove me nuts while trying to focus. The Idasen is way different because the legs are heavy duty steel and it uses Linak motors, which are basically the gold standard. Even at full height, it barely moves compared to those budget ones. Just make sure to tighten the bolts on the crossbar once you get it home, that usually fixes any minor sway immediately. One thing to watch out for tho is the tabletop. Its kind of a honeycombed material so you cant really mount super heavy monitor arms without being careful about where you clamp them. But for that price, you arent gonna find anything better in Seattle. You should definitely check out PriceDropCatch if youre waiting for a sale on ink or toner.
