Which external flash works best with the Leica Q3?

So I finally saved up and got the Leica Q3 after wanting a nice camera for forever but honestly I'm a total disaster when it comes to the technical side of things. I've been taking some cool shots outdoors but I realized there's no built-in flash which I didn't even think about until I tried to take a photo of my dog in the living room last night and it was just a dark blur lol. I'm going to a wedding in Italy next month and I really want to take some nice shots at the reception without them being all grainy or dark but I have no idea what I'm looking for. Everything I see online talks about TTL and sync speeds and my brain just kind of melts. I want something that just works without me having to do a bunch of math in my head every time I take a picture.

Here is what I'm looking for:

  • something small because the Q3 is so pretty and I dont want a giant brick on top of it
  • very simple to use like maybe just an on/off switch if that exists
  • budget is maybe $400 or so but if there's something perfect I can spend more
  • fits in a small shoulder bag

Is there a specific brand that works better with Leica or do I have to buy the expensive Leica branded one to make sure it doesn't break the camera or something? Sorry if this is a really basic question I just don't want to buy the wrong thing and ruin my trip photos...

I remember my first trip to Rome with my old Q, missed so many shots at night until I grabbed the Leica SF 40 Compact Flash! Its seriously amazing because it handles all that TTL math for you automatically. Honestly, the size is great since it fits in a tiny side pocket. It is basically foolproof and totally saved my sisters wedding photos! You wont regret it!

I was honestly super nervous about putting a non-Leica flash on my expensive camera at first because I didnt want to fry the electronics. After some research, the Godox TT350O Mini Thinklite TTL Flash for Olympus Panasonic Leica became my go-to for a trip to Greece and its been rock solid. It has full TTL which means you dont have to do any math... the camera and flash just talk to each other. Its tiny too, basically half the size of a standard pro flash. If you want something even more minimalist, the LightPix Labs FlashQ X20 for Leica is a cool little cube that fits in any small shoulder bag. The Godox is better for bouncing light off ceilings tho, which makes people look way better at wedding receptions. Really happy with how it handles skin tones without making everything look blown out. Its a relief not worrying about settings when you just want to enjoy the party.

If you want simple, the Godox Lux Junior Retro Camera Flash works well. It has a basic Auto mode that handles exposure for you without the Leica price tag. Honestly, I am very satisfied with the build for the price. It is tiny and fits in any bag. Since the Q3 uses a leaf shutter, it syncs at all speeds perfectly with this unit, even at 1/2000s.
