ive been scouring forums all morning and im honestly so annoyed cuz I keep seeing conflicting stuff. Some say Freewell is the goat but then others swear PGYTECH is better for the Avata 2 gimbal weight.

I need to order something today for my Florida beach trip... which brand is actually the best?

Honestly, most options these days are quite underwhelming. I had issues with the Freewell ND Filter Set for DJI Avata 2 having slight color shifts, which is not as good as expected for the price.

  • Freewell: Inconsistent tinting.
  • PGYTECH ND Filter Set for DJI Avata 2: Better weight distribution. Unfortunately, the PGYTECH is the only one that didn't mess with my gimbal's initialization during testing.

Jumping in here because I went through this exact same headache last month. Honestly, I've been super satisfied with the mid-range sets lately. They work well without breaking the bank and I havent had any complaints about the gimbal behaving weirdly or anything like that. Florida sun is no joke tho, so you definitely want something that can handle that harsh glare off the water without making the footage look muddy. Before you hit that buy button, I've got a couple questions to make sure you get the right thing:

  • Are you looking to grab a massive variety pack or just a basic starter set of like three or four filters?
  • What is your actual budget for this trip? Some of these brands definitely charge a premium for the name alone, and honestly, the mid-tier stuff usually works just as well for most of us. Glad to help if you have more details!
