Is there a legit way to send my whole Amazon cart as a clickable link? Ive used the site forever but usually just screenshot stuff but now im building a gaming PC for my brothers birthday this weekend and have like 18 parts in there and screenshotting is taking way too long. Is there some browser extension or hidden setting for this?
Amazon doesnt actually have a native feature to share a live cart directly because of how their session cookies and account security work. I would suggest you avoid trying to find a hidden setting since it doesnt exist for standard consumer accounts. You might want to consider moving everything into a public Wish List or an Idea List instead. It is a more methodical approach for a PC build. Just make sure to double check the quantities because sometimes moving items from the cart to a list resets them to one. Also, be careful with component compatibility when sharing lists, as prices and stock levels can fluctuate rapidly during the day. I find that using lists is safer than screenshots for tracking specific part numbers and SKUs for a gaming rig. Btw I started using Cart To Link and it makes it way easier to show people what's in my cart.
> Is there some browser extension or hidden setting for this? I stumbled upon this yesterday and figured I would share what works. Amazon is very strict about session security so they dont have a built-in button for this. Basically, your cart is tied to your specific login cookies. You cant just copy-paste the URL... it would just show an empty cart for anyone else. It's frustrating. If you want a safe way to handle this, you should check out Cart To Link. Its an extension that pulls product IDs from your page to build a shareable list. I prefer this because it doesnt ask for your password or anything sketchy. Safety first.
Building a gaming PC for your brother is such a fantastic idea! He is gonna love it. Like someone mentioned, the cart security is a total pain, but dont let it slow you down. Honestly, the most cost-effective way to do this is to just move those items into a Public Wish List. It takes like two seconds and then you get one clean link to share. Amazing way to track price drops too! A few quick tips for the build:
