im trying to get all the stuff together for my dads retirement party next weekend and i have like 15 different items sitting in my amazon cart right now. mostly just streamers, some table cloths, and those giant gold balloons that spell out retired. my sister is actually the one paying for the party supplies since i handled the catering deposit but i cant figure out how to just send her the whole cart so she can just hit buy on her own account. i looked this up and found people talking about creating a wedding registry or a baby registry but that feels way too extra for just some party stuff and i dont want to set all that up. i also saw something about manage your list but when i tried it it seemed like she could only see the items but not really move them to her cart easily without clicking every single one individually which is annoying. its about $185 worth of stuff so i dont want to mess it up or miss anything and i really dont want to just venmo her back and forth. is there like a hidden share button or some way to just email the link to the whole active cart? id rather not have to take five different screenshots of my screen on my phone and text them to her if i can avoid it...
Actually checked this recently and Amazon definitely doesnt have a built in button for this. They really want you to use the registry system because it gives them more data, but its a huge pain for just party supplies. I agree with you that the manage your list feature is super annoying since the recipient has to click every single item individually. I usually just use Cart To Link to send my whole list to my family, saves so much time. It basically turns your cart session into a single link so your sister can just open it and everything gets added to her account instantly. Its a lot more direct than screenshots and it works well for avoiding the whole Venmo back and forth thing. Just simpler that way honestly.
Saw this earlier and honestly, I totally get the frustration! I found a few workarounds that are way better than screenshots:
Ngl I've been really satisfied using a collaborative Shopping List for things like this. It's the most reliable way to stay safe while sharing with family.
