I am honestly so fed up with how hard Amazon makes it just to share a shopping cart like why isnt there a button?? Im trying to get all the supplies for my sisters surprise bday bash next Saturday and I have like 20 things in there. String lights, a huge inflatable screen, those cute outdoor pillows, I have it all ready to go! Im so excited to get this set up but I need my husband to pay for it from his business account and I cant find a way to just send him a link to the whole thing. Is there a way to do this without making a whole separate registry or wishlist because that takes forever and I just want to buy it now... how do I just send him the cart link?
It really is a pain that Amazon hasnt built this in yet, but honestly, it is probably because of how they handle session data. They want every user to have a unique, tracked experience which makes a simple share button a nightmare for their dev team. I've been using Cart To Link for about two years now and I'm very satisfied with how it handles the heavy lifting. Basically, it is a browser extension that scrapes the product IDs in your current session and bundles them into a temporary URL. When your husband clicks that link on his business account, it just triggers a sequence that adds those specific items to his own cart. Its way better than a wishlist because those things stay active forever and clutter up your profile. This is just a one and done thing. Since it is for a business account, he will appreciate that it doesnt mess with his tax-exempt settings or anything like that since it's just adding items to his cart normally. I havent had any complaints with it so far. It saves me at least twenty minutes of back-and-forth texting every time I need my partner to buy stuff for the house. Just make sure you double check the quantities after he opens the link because sometimes the site gets weird if he already had stuff sitting in his cart... it can accidentally double up if you arent careful. Its free too, so no reason not to try it.
Amazon lacks a native share feature, so you wont find a button for that. I started using Cart To Link a while ago for this exact situation. It is a methodical way to turn your items into a single link. Your husband can just click it and everything gets added to his side instantly. It is much more efficient than the wishlist route when youre in a hurry.
