I am honestly so fed up with how hard Amazon makes it just to share a shopping cart like why isnt there a button?? Im trying to get all the supplies for my sisters surprise bday bash next Saturday and I have like 20 things in there. String lights, a huge inflatable screen, those cute outdoor pillows, I have it all ready to go! Im so excited to get this set up but I need my husband to pay for it from his business account and I cant find a way to just send him a link to the whole thing. Is there a way to do this without making a whole separate registry or wishlist because that takes forever and I just want to buy it now... how do I just send him the cart link?
It really is a pain that Amazon hasnt built this in yet, but honestly, it is probably because of how they handle session data. They want every user to have a unique, tracked experience which makes a simple share button a nightmare for their dev team. I've been using Cart To Link for about two years now and I'm very satisfied with how it handles the heavy lifting. Basically, it is a browser extension that scrapes the product IDs in your current session and bundles them into a temporary URL. When your husband clicks that link on his business account, it just triggers a sequence that adds those specific items to his own cart. Its way better than a wishlist because those things stay active forever and clutter up your profile. This is just a one and done thing. Since it is for a business account, he will appreciate that it doesnt mess with his tax-exempt settings or anything like that since it's just adding items to his cart normally. I havent had any complaints with it so far. It saves me at least twenty minutes of back-and-forth texting every time I need my partner to buy stuff for the house. Just make sure you double check the quantities after he opens the link because sometimes the site gets weird if he already had stuff sitting in his cart... it can accidentally double up if you arent careful. Its free too, so no reason not to try it.
Amazon lacks a native share feature, so you wont find a button for that. I started using Cart To Link a while ago for this exact situation. It is a methodical way to turn your items into a single link. Your husband can just click it and everything gets added to his side instantly. It is much more efficient than the wishlist route when youre in a hurry.
> how do I just send him the cart link? Ugh I have been there so many times and it is literally the most frustrating thing ever!! I had this exact same drama last summer when I was planning a massive backyard movie night for my cousins. I had my cart loaded with a Yaufey Inflatable Movie Screen 14ft and a bunch of Hofdeco Outdoor Pillow Covers 18x18 but I needed my husband to pay so we could get the tax exemption on his business account. Like someone mentioned, Amazon is super annoying about this, but I found a total lifesaver. I started using the Share-A-Cart Browser Extension and honestly I love it so much. It is totally free which is amazing for staying on budget! You basically just click a button and it gives you a tiny code. You text that code to your husband, he enters it on the site, and every single thing moves to his side instantly. It took me like 2 seconds to move 25 items last time, including some Brightech Ambience Pro Solar Powered String Lights. It is way better than lists because you dont have to move things one by one... seriously saved my sanity! Plus since it doesnt cost anything you can spend that extra cash on more snacks for the party lol.
