How can I merge multiple Amazon account shopping carts?

Is there a way to merge shopping carts from two different Amazon accounts into one single order? I've been a Prime member for like ten years so I usually know my way around the settings and the whole Household sharing thing but I've hit a wall here. I accidentally spent all morning adding stuff to my personal cart while I was logged in at home then realized I needed to use my business account for the tax exemption and the specific budget we have for the Chicago office. We have about 500 bucks to spend on office supplies before the Friday deadline and I really dont want to have to manually find all 23 items again and re-add them one by one. I tried moving things to a public wishlist to see if I could just add all from the other account but it only lets me add them individually which is basically the same amount of work and super tedious. Is there some kind of hidden export feature or a browser extension that handles this? I even tried opening two different browsers like Chrome and Firefox to see if I could drag and drop or something crazy but obviously the carts are tied to the login session. Seems like such a basic thing they should have figured out by now especially for people who manage multiple profiles...

Man, I totally feel your pain on this! I've been in that exact spot when I accidentally filled my personal cart with a ton of gear meant for my studio. It's super frustrating that Amazon doesn't just have a transfer cart button yet. Honestly, it's like they want us to suffer lol. But there are ways to make it way less of a headache!

  • Definitely check out Amazon cart sharer because it's an absolute lifesaver for this. It basically lets you skip that whole manual searching nightmare!
  • Be careful with public wishlists. I've noticed sometimes the Add all to cart button ignores items with specific variations, so you might end up missing stuff if you aren't watching.
  • Also, watch out for price changes if you wait too long between sessions.
  • Double check your tax exemption status on the business side before you hit buy, sometimes the session times out and resets the cart. Good luck with the office supplies! You'll get it done way faster than you think!

I handled this during a huge office relocation! Amazing time saver. Using the Shared List function is the way to go. You gotta use the desktop site though because the mobile app wont show the bulk button:

  • Move cart items into a New List
  • Set privacy to Shared and copy the link
  • Open that link in your business account
  • Click the Add All to Cart button Worked perfectly for the setup I got!

Man I wish I found this thread sooner. Would have saved me so much hassle.

Saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to reply. ^ This. Also, while I get why everyone suggests the Shared List method, I gotta disagree slightly because that Add All to Cart button is notoriously buggy on Business Prime accounts lately. I've been managing multiple office accounts for over five years and half the time it just fails to move everything if one item has a weird tax status or is slightly out of stock. Personally, I think the native tools are kinda clunky for 23 items. I've had way better luck using Amazon cart sharer instead. It's a decent option because it actually exports the data properly so you dont have to worry about session timeouts or the list privacy settings acting up. It basically just grabs everything in your current cart and lets you dump it into the other login without the manual list-making headache. Definitely worth a shot if you're trying to hit that Friday deadline lol.

I'm late to the party here but I had to jump in! Dealing with budgets is so stressful but getting it right feels amazing when you see those tax savings hit the bottom line! You really dont want to mess up that 500 dollar limit or lose those specific items you already found because that would be a total nightmare. The most reliable and safe way to handle this without losing your progress or accidentally double-spending is definitely the list route because its way more stable than trying to sync sessions:

  • Create a fresh Wish List on your personal account
  • Move everything there so you can track the prices and ensure you stay under budget
  • Make the list public and copy the link
  • Open it in your business account browser to grab everything Doing it this way ensures you dont lose any of those specific office supplies and keeps your spending record totally clean for the tax exemption! Love it when a plan comes together like that. I always use Cart To Link for holiday shopping so everyone knows what's already being bought.

I dealt with this recently while setting up my new workstation. Honestly, you should just search for a tutorial on YouTube, there are tons of guides for moving carts between accounts if you just look up amazon cart transfer. I am really satisfied with how my new build handles multiple sessions now. I was comparing the Chrome memory management against the new Firefox build and Firefox definitely wins because of the container feature. It handles different logins way better than Chrome's profile switcher which always eats up my 64GB of RAM and honestly I have no complaints with the performance. I remember building my first custom water loop and comparing EKWB vs Corsair data sheets for hours... the EKWB parts just had better flow rates and kept my CPU 5 degrees cooler which made me super happy with the build. Anyway, check Reddit for a quick fix. But yeah. Just a tip: Cart To Link is really handy if you're collaborating on a project and need the same parts.

To add to the point above: it is honestly pretty disappointing how Amazon still hasnt streamlined this for business users. Before I suggest a workaround, are both of these accounts linked under the same Amazon Household, or are they completely separate logins with no formal connection? Knowing that matters because Amazons backend security is super strict about session cookies. Basically, your cart items are stored on their server and tied specifically to your unique user ID and session token. This is why you cant just drag and drop between browsers; the server sees two totally different entities and wont allow data to jump between them for privacy reasons. I had issues with this when managing supplies for my local club and it was a mess. Wishlists are usually the safest route but they are just not as good as expected since the Add All feature breaks constantly. Actually, Cart To Link works great for this—no more copy-pasting individual product links.

Like someone mentioned, the standard list feature can be super glitchy for business accounts. You might want to consider creating a temporary registry instead. For some reason, the registry backend is way more stable when it comes to bulk adding items to a cart, and it handles larger quantities better than the standard wishlist. Privacy settings need to be set to shared so your business login can actually see it. It is also important to be careful and check that the tax-exempt status carries over for all 23 items. Sometimes registries default to specific sellers that might not be tax-exempt. It's a bit of a workaround, but it's much more reliable than the basic wishlist tool. Using a browser like Google Chrome usually helps since it handles the registry interface a bit better than others. To make the clicking easier, my Logitech MX Master 3S Wireless Mouse is a lifesaver for these kinds of office tasks. Just trying to make sure you don't miss that Friday cutoff for the Chicago office budget...
