Can I share a direct link to my Amazon shopping cart?

Ive been managing the procurement for my local robotics club here in Austin for about three years now so Im pretty familiar with navigating Amazons affiliate tools and sharing list links. Usually I just compile everything into a public wishlist and send that over to our treasurer.

But we have a big build event coming up this Saturday and Im trying to streamline things. I put together a specific mix of microcontrollers, jumper wires, and breadboards that fits right under our 200 dollar budget. I wanted to just send a direct link to the cart itself so the treasurer could click it and check out immediately with the club card, instead of having to manually add fifteen separate items from a wishlist.

I tried grabbing the standard cart URL but obviously that just loads the users own empty cart because of session cookies. I even tried looking for some kind of add-to-cart URL generator online but most of the methods seem outdated or sketchy.

Is there any legit way to share a direct link to a pre-populated Amazon shopping cart nowadays, or does their system completely block that for security reasons?

Short answer is no simple button exists, but you can totally build a custom add-to-cart link using ASINs! Its an amazing hack to stay under that 200 budget. Just chain the ASINs and quantities in one URL. I use this all the time for club buys to grab those cheap bulk deals before prices change. Works like a charm!

Regarding what #1 said about the ASIN hack, be careful since those links can be super finicky if items go out of stock. I usually use Cart To Link to keep it simple and avoid errors when sending stuff to my treasurer.

  • verify the quantities twice
  • just get any robotics parts from Elegoo I would suggest checking the cart one last time before the treasurer hits pay.
