I just found out you can actually have your computer tell you when prices change on Walmart and my mind is literally blown right now!! I feel so silly for not knowing this sooner but honestly I am so tech-challenged its not even funny. I have been checking the Walmart website every single morning at 7am to see if this big 65 inch TV I want for my husbands birthday goes on sale and it is so exhausting. Its for his 40th in three weeks and I really want to surprise him but my budget is strictly under $500 and the price keeps bouncing from like $580 down to $490 and back up before I can even get my credit card out.
Someone told me there are these things called browser extensions that just do this for you? I dont even really know how to install them or which ones are safe because I dont want to get a virus or anything like that. Is there a specific one that works best for Walmart specifically? I live in a pretty rural area so Walmart is basically the only place I shop and I have about $200 in gift cards saved up from Christmas so it has to be Walmart. My sister said I should just buy it now but I know it goes lower I just keep missing the window because I have to work.
Here is what I am looking for because I am so lost:
Sorry if this is a total noob question I just really want to get this gift right for him and not overspend. I saw something called Honey but I dont know if that tracks prices or just finds coupons? And I heard about CamelCamelCamel but I think that is only for Amazon? If anyone has a favorite for Walmart please let me know how to get it started... I am so excited to finally stop manually refreshing that page every day haha!
Avoid sketchy extensions and stick to big names so you dont get a virus. Capital One or Honey are solid choices.

Honestly, I have been in your shoes so many times. In my experience, the tracker I use now is the absolute best way to win against those weird price algorithms. I've tried many over the years, and its saved me hundreds on kitchen appliances and toys. I used to do exactly what youre doing, checking every morning, and its just exhausting. I remember missing a huge clearance on a vacuum by like ten minutes once... it was devastating. But once I got this setup going, it just sends me a quick email the second the price drops into my range. It was super easy to get started with too. You basically just click a button and let it run. It's totally safe and makes the whole process way less stressful. Youre gonna love it, seriously.
