What SD cards are you guys actually using for 4K video on the a6400 these days? Ive been shooting stills for a decade but just started doing more video for a local wedding client next month and I keep getting that annoying writing to card lag or even occasional recording stops with my old SanDisk gold cards. I thought U3 was enough but I guess not for the high bitrates when I crank it up to 100Mbps. Im looking for something reliable that wont break the bank since I need to buy at least three 128GB ones before the gig. Is V60 total overkill for this body or should I just stick to a faster V30 like the Extreme Pro? Decisions are hard...

tbh the a6400 only has a UHS-I slot so buying V60 cards is basically throwing money away unless you plan to upgrade your camera body soon. i have been very satisfied with the performance of standard V30 cards for 4K 100Mbps recording. you really just need a card that actually maintains its rated write speed without dipping during long takes.
- SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I V30 works well and i havent had a single recording failure in two years.
- Kingston Canvas Go Plus 128GB SDXC UHS-I V30 is another solid choice that is super affordable right now.
- Samsung PRO Plus 128GB SDXC UHS-I V30 also handles the 100Mbps bitrate with no complaints during long wedding ceremonies. since the a6400 cant even use the extra pins on a V60 or UHS-II card, stick with the high-end V30s. you'll save enough cash to buy a fourth card just for extra backup.
