I just bought my first real camera for a trip to Zion in June but I honestly have no clue about lenses and its all so confusing. I heard Sigma makes good stuff that isnt too expensive.

Im looking to spend maybe $800 max. What is the best Sigma lens I should get for landscape pictures?

Over the years, I've found the Sigma 16mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary is the best value choice.

  • razor sharp
  • dirt cheap Its perfect for Zion views.

tbh sticking to a prime might be kinda limiting at Zion. @Reply #1 - good point! but standing on a cliff means you cant exactly zoom with your feet. in my experience, the Sigma 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary is way more practical. it lets you capture massive canyon views without swapping lenses constantly. its super light and fits your budget perfectly. definitely look into that one instead.
