been looking for a tripod for my Nikon Z6II and im just getting frustrated now. i keep seeing the Peak Design travel one recommended everywhere but its way over my $300 budget and i read some people say the legs are too thin anyway.
so my logic was maybe go with something like the Manfrotto Befree but then i saw a review saying it cant really handle the weight if i have my 24-120 lens on there. im going to Iceland in two weeks and really need something sturdy for landscapes that wont blow over. i want something light for hiking but i feel like every travel tripod is just too flimsy for a full frame setup... what are you actually using?
Totally agree!
@Reply #1 - good point! Unfortunately i had issues with the Befree and it was not as good as expected for real wind. My shots were just a mess of blur. I eventually grabbed the Slik PRO CF-834 Carbon Fiber Tripod and it handles my full frame gear much better. Quick tip: hang your camera bag from the center hook when youre in those Iceland winds. Its basically the only way to stay steady.
