I am seriously about to lose my mind with the Amazon app right now like why is it so incredibly difficult to do something so simple? I have been sitting here in my living room for three hours straight picking out every single tiny thing for my sisters nursery because her baby shower is in two weeks and she lives all the way in Seattle so I have to get it all ordered like TODAY to make sure it gets there in time. I have about 22 items in my actual shopping bag right now-everything from the specific crib sheets to this weird diaper disposal thing she wanted and some organic onesies-and my total is already at like $550 which is fine because that was my budget but I need my mom to look at it and pay for half of it before I hit the checkout button. I looked everywhere and I cannot for the life of me find a button that just says share my cart or send bag to someone. I tried making a wishlist but its a total nightmare because when I move stuff from the cart to the list it loses all the specific sizes and the quantities I picked and I really dont want to have to go back through and re-select everything for a third time today. Its just so frustrating that a multi-billion dollar company hasn't figured out a way for me to just send a link to my husband or my mom so they can see exactly what I have ready to go. Is there any kind of workaround or a hidden setting Im missing because I really dont have another two hours to rebuild this whole list from scratch just so someone else can see it? How do I just send my actual shopping bag to another person?
Just found this thread. I had this exact issue last year when coordinating a group gift. Honestly, the only way that works without losing sizes is using the Share-A-Cart extension. It gives you a short code to send your mom, and she can just load it on her end. Its free and saves so much manual re-entry time, especially with specific stuff like baby clothes.
> Is there any kind of workaround or a hidden setting Im missing because I really dont have another two hours to rebuild this whole list from scratch just so someone else can see it? I dealt with this nightmare last year during a group gift situation and yeah, Amazon basically locks the cart to your specific login session. Its super annoying. Be careful if you use those browser extensions tho... sometimes they dont play nice with lightning deals or specific size selections if the stock is getting low. I would suggest making sure your mom is actually logged into her own account before she tries to open any shared cart link. One time I tried a workaround and it just cleared the whole bag because the session timed out. Also watch out for shipping costs because if she doesnt have Prime but you do, that $550 total might jump up once it hits her cart. Honestly Share-A-Cart is the only real way to do it without losing your mind but just double check those quantities before she hits the buy button... sometimes they glitch and add double items if you click the link twice.
Its honestly amazing how much time you can save once you figure out the workflow for these big orders! I have been using Amazon for basically everything for years and it is a fantastic way to handle baby showers. Since you are trying to stay under that $550 budget, definitely make sure you check for those little green clippable coupons on the product pages before you finalize anything. It is such a great way to save a bit more cash on the nursery gear. One huge warning though is to never ever share your actual login credentials with anyone just to show them your cart. It is a massive security risk for your saved credit cards and account history. Also, you have to be really careful because items in the cart are not reserved. If your mom takes too long to check the link, those specific onesies or sheets could go out of stock or the price might jump up. It is super important to have her look at it immediately so you dont lose the specific items you spent three hours finding!
