Ive been staring at my cart for like three weeks now just waiting for a sign lol. Ive got my eye on that Dyson Airwrap and some Tom Ford perfume but man the prices are just insane right now. Im trying to be smart about my $400 budget since my birthday is coming up in November and I really want to treat myself to some high-end stuff I usually cant justify. Im in Chicago and usually shop at the store on Michigan Ave but I want to make sure I get the absolute best price since this is a huge splurge for me.

I did a bit of googling and saw people talking about the VIB sale and a Holiday Savings Event but it is super confusing. Some sites say it is only 10% for some people and 20% for others but then I read somewhere else that some luxury brands are actually excluded from the big coupons? Like if I spend all this money to get to a higher tier just for a discount will it even work on the really pricey brands? Im basically just a regular member right now so I dont know if I should wait for a specific month or if there is a better time during the year where they do a flat discount for everyone. When exactly are the biggest Sephora sales where I can actually get a decent chunk off the luxury brands without being a mega-spender already?

The primary window you're looking for is the Holiday Savings Event in early November. Discount tiers are fixed: Rouge gets 20% off, VIB gets 15%, and Insiders get 10%. If you're looking at a $400 Dyson, that 10% only shaves off $40, which basically just offsets the high sales tax in Chicago. Tom Ford is usually included, but Dyson units are strictly limited to one per customer. The staggered rollout is the main issue; Rouge members get access about a week before everyone else. By the time the Insider window opens, high-demand SKUs like the Airwrap are often out of stock online and at the Michigan Ave store. Honestly, if you're only getting 10%, you might find better deals on brand sites since they dont have tier restrictions. For anyone looking for a deal, PriceDropCatch shows you the whole price history so you can spot the trends.
