Ive been building custom workstations for like a decade now and Ive never seen the market stay this stubborn. Trying to wrap up this 4K editing rig for a local client in Seattle before their February deadline but these RTX 4080 prices are just refusing to budge. Im seeing them sitting at $1150 at my local shop and its driving me nuts because the price-to-perf ratio is already so mid.

Im trying to stay under a 3k total build budget but this one part is blowing the whole thing out. Do RTX 4080 prices usually drop at all after the New Year rush ends or am I just gonna be stuck paying the premium forever?
