Which thumb grips and straps are actually worth it for the X100 series?

I finally snagged a VI for my Tokyo trip but the ergonomics are stressing me out compared to my old X-T series. I need something secure that wont block the dials because I am super clumsy and terrified of dropping this $1600 brick...

TL;DR: Lensmate Thumb Grip for Fujifilm X100VI is king for dial access. Pair with Peak Design Leash Camera Strap Black. Super happy with this setup, no complaints at all.

Honestly you dont need to spend a fortune to keep that camera safe! These budget picks are amazing and save you money for more ramen in Tokyo.

Like someone mentioned, the Lensmate is a solid choice but if you're really worried about reliability and that premium feel, Match Technical Thumbs Up EP-2V for Fujifilm X100V is probably the sturdiest one out there. It's machined brass so it wont bend or snap, and the fit is incredibly tight so it doesn't wiggle. It's expensive but feels like a tank compared to the aluminum ones. For the strap, if you're worried about dropping it, the Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap Black is objectively more secure than a standard loop. It has a magnetic lock that cinches down on your wrist if the camera falls. If that looks too modern, Clever Supply Co Skinny Anchor Strap is a great middle ground. It uses the Peak Design anchors for safety but gives you a nice leather look that fits the Fuji aesthetic better. Both are super solid options depending on if you want pure function or a bit more style while you're wandering around Shinjuku. Just make sure whatever you pick feels right in the hand before your flight!
