I recently purchased the Panasonic Lumix S5 II and I'm looking for recommendations on the best memory card to use with this camera. I'll be primarily shooting 6K video and high-resolution stills, so I need a card with fast write speeds and reliable performance.

I've heard that V90 UHS-II SD cards are a good choice for this camera, but I'm not sure which brand to go with. I'm considering options from SanDisk, Lexar, and ProGrade Digital.

What memory cards are you using with your Panasonic Lumix S5 II? Have you had any issues with specific brands or models? I'd appreciate any insight or personal experiences you can share to help me make the best decision for my new camera setup. Thanks in advance!

Since S5 II has dual UHS-II SD card slots, so the best choices are to use UHS-II V90 cards, here are some top recommended UHS-II V90 cards:

Honestly, I've tried many different brands over the years and the ProGrade stuff is hard to beat for the price-to-performance ratio. Since you mentioned them, I'd definitely grab the ProGrade Digital SDXC UHS-II V90 Cobalt 256GB. They are rock solid in the S5 II, especially when you are pushing those high bitrates in 6K. I haven't had a single buffer issue or write error with them yet. Another one that usually flies under the radar but is actually amazing is the Kingston Canvas React Plus 256GB UHS-II V90. It's basically the best value V90 card on the market right now. You often get a fast UHS-II reader in the box too which is a nice little bonus. If you want something basically indestructible, the Sony TOUGH-G series SDXC UHS-II V90 is the gold standard for build quality. They are ribless and don't have that flimsy write-protect switch that always breaks off. Pricey tho. In my experience, the ProGrade Cobalt is the sweet spot for the S5 II. Just dont skimp and buy V30 cards for 6K work... you'll just end up with recording errors mid-shoot and that's the absolute worst.
