So I finally pulled the trigger on the Mini 4 Pro after rocking the old Mini 2 for like three years and honestly I am so hyped about the O4 transmission range its such a huge jump up. I'm taking this thing to Iceland in about three weeks for a big solo trip and I really want to make sure I've got everything I need to get those cinematic shots without the gimbal freaking out or running out of juice. I already got the Fly More combo because obviously you need those extra batteries but now I'm looking at all these extra bits and pieces like landing gear and different brands of ND filters. I usually just use Freewell but I've seen some people saying the wide-angle lens is actually worth it for those big landscape shots? I've got maybe 300 bucks left in my budget for accessories before the trip and I dont want to waste it on junk that just adds weight since I'm trying to stay under the 250g limit if possible though I know the Plus batteries already blow that. What are the absolute must-have accessories you guys are actually using daily for the Mini 4 Pro? Like what am I gonna regret not having when I'm standing on a glacier in the middle of nowhere?

Yo, congrats on the upgrade! Moving from a Mini 2 to the 4 Pro is a massive jump, especially with that O4 range. Ive been using mine for a few months now and I am super satisfied with how it handles. Since you're heading to Iceland, you definitely want to keep it simple and light. Honestly, if you already like Freewell, just stick with them. The Freewell DJI Mini 4 Pro Bright Day 6-Pack ND/PL Filters have been working great for me on those bright reflections on ice or water. You dont need to spend a fortune on high-end brands when these do the job perfectly fine. Ngl, I would skip the wide-angle lens tho... the distortion on the edges is kinda annoying. Better to just shoot a panorama if you need that extra width, plus it keeps you closer to that 250g limit. Instead of landing gear which just adds drag and weight, maybe grab a decent hardshell case. The Lykus Titan MA210 Waterproof Hard Case for DJI Mini 4 Pro is way better than the stock bag for travel, especially in a place like Iceland where its gonna be wet and windy. Its super affordable compared to some other brands and fits in a backpack easily. Also, make sure you have a fast charger. The UGREEN 65W Nexode GaN USB C Wall Charger is a lifesaver for getting those Plus batteries ready for the next day without waiting forever. Have a blast in the North!

Been thinking about your Iceland trip since I saw this post earlier. In my experience flying in high-latitude environments over the years, the biggest hurdle is usually battery management and thermal efficiency rather than just having more gadgets. I have tried many different setups and honestly, I have regretted packing too much weight when the wind starts gusting at 30 knots. I remember once being out in sub-zero temps and realizing that half the extra bits I bought were actually just increasing my surface area and making the motors work harder than they needed to. It can really mess with the flight efficiency when you are fighting those headwinds. Since you are trying to stay cost-conscious, are you planning to do most of your shooting near the car or are you trekking miles into the backcountry? Also, are you focusing more on pure flight time or are you okay sacrificing some of that for better image quality with heavier add-on lenses?
