Which gimbal works best for Sony a7 IV video shooting?

I'm so frustrated because every video I take with my a7 IV is a shaky mess. I was thinking about the RS3 Mini since it's cheaper but now I'm confused about weight limits. My logic was to save money for my sisters wedding next month but will the cheap one even work? I have no clue what I'm doing...

late to the party but what lenses are you planning to use at the wedding? that really changes things. i was terrified of my camera falling so i got the Zhiyun Weebill 3S Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer and honestly im so satisfied with it.

  • stronger motors mean it wont freak out with zooms
  • wrist rest makes long days way easier
  • battery life is solid for a full day i didnt want to risk a cheap one and regret it later...

The DJI RS 3 Mini 3-Axis Gimbal for Mirrorless Cameras works if you stick to light lenses like the Sony FE 35mm f/1.8 Lens. But for a wedding, youre gonna want more motor power. The DJI RS 3 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer is more reliable for the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera. It handles up to 3kg, so it wont struggle with heavy zooms. Worth the extra money for stability.

Like someone mentioned, motor power is key. In my experience, you need higher torque so motors dont overheat.

No way, I literally just dealt with this yesterday. Small world.

tbh i had a pretty bad experience trying to go the budget route with my a7 iv. the motors on those entry-level lines just arent as good as expected when youre moving fast at a wedding. unfortunately, i found that saving money upfront usually leads to more frustration later when the gimbal starts vibrating mid-shoot. brands like dji are super reliable for software, but companies like moza or feiyutech sometimes give you more motor strength for the price. what lenses are you actually planning to bring to the wedding? and are you looking for something tiny for travel later or do you just want the most stable footage possible for your sister regardless of how heavy the rig gets?
