^ This. Also, after shooting with these bodies for nearly a decade, I've learned that the GH7 really shines when you stop worrying about covers-it-all zooms and start looking at how the sensor handles light. In my experience, I spent years hauling around heavy glass only to realize that a few select pieces changed my entire workflow. Here is what I have learned over the years with this system:

  • Internal stabilization on these newer bodies is incredible, but it wont save a shot if your shutter speed is too low because of a slow lens.
  • I found that sticking to a specific set of fast glass helps keep the look consistent across a whole project.
  • The weight of the setup matters more than you think during an eight-hour wedding shoot... my back still hurts from my early days.
  • Autofocus performance on the GH7 is a beast compared to the GH5, so I finally stopped manually pulling focus on everything. Basically, pick glass that fits your specific style rather than trying to buy everything at once. I usually just keep my favorite fast wide-angle on there 90% of the time now and it works for almost everything I do.

Try this all-in-one lens: Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S.
