Been shooting Fuji since the X-T1 days but my old Godox is suddenly misfiring on my new X-S20. Its weirdly inconsistent with TTL during bursts. Need something reliable for an indoor gala next week, budget is around 200 bucks. Which flash handles the X-S20s hot shoe protocol the best without being massive?

Honestly, I had issues with my older gear too. Its super frustrating when the TTL keeps missing and it was not as good as expected on the X-S20. Unfortunately, those old pins just dont seat right on the newer bodies sometimes. Tbh, for a gala, try the Godox V350F Li-ion TTL Flash. Its small and fits the budget perfectly. Just keep your hot shoe contacts clean with some alcohol so the signal stays strong.

Basically I was terrified of shorting my hot shoe with old gear, so I played it safe. The Godox TT350F Mini Flash for Fujifilm has made me very happy because it feels built for these modern sensors.

  • Lower trigger voltage protects the camera motherboard
  • Pins align perfectly for high speed sync
  • It doesnt weigh much and feels balanced
  • Alternative: Nissin i40 for Fujifilm is also very solid Everything works well and sync errors dont happen anymore.
