What are the must-have accessories for a new Fujifilm X-T series camera?

I just got the X-T5 and I'm leaving for Japan in like four days so I need to gear up fast. I've only got about $150 left in the budget after the body purchase and I'm stressing. Torn between these:

  • Two extra NP-W235 batteries
  • A beefy Anker power bank for USB charging
  • SmallRig hand grip for better ergonomics

Leaning toward the batteries because swapping is faster but a power bank could charge my phone too. My hands are kinda big so the grip sounds good but I cant have the camera dying during street shots. Which one is the absolute must-have if you had to pick one before a big trip?...

To add to the point above: batteries are key but dont sleep on the ergonomics. In my experience, the X-T5 feels tiny with large hands.

I agree, but unfortunately $150 wont go very far. I had issues with my screen scratching immediately, so definitely grab:

I would suggest getting the Fujifilm NP-W235 Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery. Stick with OEM tho. Third-party stuff can be sketchy and you wont want your camera dying mid-shot in Kyoto.

  • I am very satisfied with how the camera works so far, but I am honestly in the exact same boat regarding the accessory budget for my trip next week.
  • It is quite frustrating trying to figure out how to prioritize that last 150 dollars when both battery life and ergonomics seem so critical for street photography in Japan.
  • I have been dealing with this same dilemma for about two weeks now and still havent found a definitive answer that makes sense for my situation.
