im honestly stressing because my tokyo trip is in two weeks and the fuji strap is just awful. torn between the peak design slide lite or maybe a leather one from clever supply but i only got like $60.
is the pd one too bulky for an xt5? i just need something comfy fast...
Over the years Ive tried many, but for a trip, safety is priority one. For under $60, these are your best bets:
In my experience, the Think Tank Photo Camera Strap V2.0 is way better than the bulky PD ones. Its super secure for Tokyo crowds and totally fits your budget.
Totally agree with the minimalist vibe everyone is suggesting! I spent two weeks wandering around Osaka and Kyoto last year and heavy straps are a total nightmare in that humidity. If you want something that looks amazing on a Fuji and doesnt break the bank, you should check out the Urth Recycled Cotton Camera Strap. I love it because its soft right out of the box and looks super low-key for street photography. Another one I swear by is the Hyperion Camera Strap handmade acrylic. They are super cheap, basically indestructible, and the rope style is so comfy for all-day carry. Quick tip: Wear it cross-body! It keeps the camera from swinging into people on those packed Tokyo subways and saves your neck from getting trashed by the end of the day.

Tokyo is gonna be absolutely amazing!! I get being nervous about the strap though... I was terrified of dropping mine when I first started out. If the Slide Lite feels too beefy for your XT5, you should definitely look at the Peak Design Leash Camera Strap Black L-BL-3 instead. Its way thinner but still uses those fantastic anchors that hold like 200 lbs! I use it daily and it feels so secure and lightweight for travel. Another super safe option is the Long Weekend Camera Neck Strap Adjustable. It is basically a climbing rope style so it is incredibly strong and wont ever snap on you. Plus it looks really cool in photos! Safety is everything when you're in a busy city like Tokyo. You're gonna take such fantastic shots!!
Yep, this is the way
