Honestly I'm about five minutes away from selling my X-T4 and just going back to Sony because my hands are literally cramping up after every single shoot. I love the colors and the dials but the ergonomics are just killing me and I feel like I'm constantly fumbling with the tiny buttons especially when I'm wearing gloves out here in Seattle. Its like the camera was built for tiny doll hands or something? I have a big wedding gig coming up in three weeks and the thought of shooting for 10 hours with this thing as it is right now makes me want to cry. I already spent way too much on lenses so I have like $350 left for some stuff to make this usable. I need to fix this setup before I lose my mind because right now it's just not working for me. I guess I'm looking for things like:
What are the absolute must-have accessories for any Fujifilm camera owner that actually make the experience better instead of just looking pretty on instagram? I need stuff that actually works for a pro workflow...
I totally get the hand cramp struggle. Last summer I almost ditched my Fuji because my fingers were locking up... it was brutal. Adding some bulk to the body is the only way to survive those 10-hour wedding shoots.
Saw this thread earlier... honestly I had a really bad time with the thumb grips people usually suggest. They blocked my back command dial and just felt like they were gonna snap the hot shoe off. For a 10-hour wedding, you need a full grip, not just a plate.
Basically, I ran into the same wall when I was doing a 12-hour event last year. My hand was a wreck by noon. The X-T4 is technically amazing but the body is just too flat for pro work. I did some testing and found that adding a baseplate really changes the center of gravity and ergonomics.
