I finally saved up enough to buy the Fuji X-E4 because it looks so cool and vintage-y but honestly I am kind of terrified of dropping it. I just got it last week and it is way smoother and thinner than I thought it would be. Like there is nothing to hold onto on the front? My hands arent even that big but I keep feeling like it is gonna slide right out when I am trying to take pictures of my golden retriever at the park. I saw some people talking about these thumb grip things that go in the top slot where the flash usually is I think? and also some leather half cases. I have no idea where to even start looking for these things or if there are specific brands that are better than others. I dont want to spend a crazy amount of money maybe like 60 or 70 dollars for both if that is even possible? I live in Seattle so it gets pretty damp here and something that helps with the grip would be really great. Sorry if this is a really basic question but I am totally new to cameras and everything is a bit confusing right now. Does anyone have a specific thumb grip or case they actually use that makes the camera feel more solid in your hand? Also do the cases make it hard to change the battery? I really dont want to have to take the whole thing off every time I need to charge it...

> Also do the cases make it hard to change the battery? I totally get that fear! I remember dropping my first rangefinder and it was soul crushing. For the X-E4, you definitely want the MegaGear MG1991 Fujifilm X-E4 Ever Ready Leather Camera Case because it has an amazing battery access flap! No unscrewing anything! Pair it with the Haoge THB-X4B Thumb Up Rest for Fujifilm X-E4 for that perfect CNC machined aluminum feel. It only adds 10 grams but gives massive leverage!

Honestly I felt the same way when I first unboxed mine, totally like a bar of soap. Quick question tho, are you using a neck strap or going handheld? I finally felt satisfied after getting the Haoge THB-X4B Metal Thumb Up Rest because the fit is super snug and doesnt budge. For the body, the BolinUS Fujifilm X-E4 Leather Half Case works well since it has a bottom flap for easy battery access.

Dude, congrats on the X-E4! It is an absolute beast but yeah, the body is basically a bar of soap. I have tested a ton of setups and these two provide the best ergonomic support for my hands:

Saved for later, ty!
