Finally snagged a silver X-E4 for my trip to Tokyo next month and man it is way more slippery than I expected. I really want to keep it pocketable for street shots so I was looking at thumb grips but I am totally torn. I saw the official Fuji one but it is like 70 bucks for a tiny piece of metal which seems insane? Then I saw the Lensmate one everyone raves about but I read a couple reviews saying it makes the shutter speed dial hard to turn and I change my settings constantly.
Also looking for a half case that doesnt add too much bulk. Found a cheap leather one on Amazon but people say the battery door is a nightmare. Anyone found a setup that stays slim but actually helps with the grip? Trying to stay under $60 for both if I can...
I'm very satisfied with the Haoge THB-X4B Thumb Up Grip for Fujifilm X-E4. It works well and doesnt block dials. Its way cheaper than the official Fuji one too.
Been shooting Fuji for years and honestly, I'm always worried about cheap accessories scratching the silver finish. dont want to ruin it. Adding my two cents.
^ This. Also, i tried those generic leather cases and they were honestly a letdown. The fit is usually trash and they make the camera feel way too chunky for a pocket. Unfortunately, you lose that slim vibe immediately. Just get any grip from SmallRig. You cant go wrong with their stuff for the price. It stays low profile but actually gives you a solid hold...
