Are official DJI batteries worth the extra cost over third-party options?

Honestly getting so sick of these prices for my Air 2S because I need a couple spares for a hiking trip to Zion in two weeks but I cant justify spending $155 per pack right now. My current original battery is slightly bulging which is stressing me out and I found these third party ones on Amazon for like 60 bucks so I was thinking maybe the savings are worth it? My logic was that a battery is just a battery but then I keep reading horror stories about the app locking them out or the drone just shutting down mid air. My budget is only like $200 total so its either one real dji pack or three generic ones which would be way better for long days out... just dont know if the risk is actually real or just marketing fluff to keep us paying the dji tax.

honestly if your current pack is bulging you need to stop using it and dispose of it safely asap. thats basically a fire hazard. i totally get the price frustration because $155 is steep but for a trip to zion where you have huge drops and wind... i wouldnt trust those cheapo amazon brands. the risk of the drone just losing power or the app blocking the pack after a firmware update is super real. ive seen it happen and it is definitely not just marketing fluff. i usually only buy the DJI Air 2S Intelligent Flight Battery even tho it hurts the wallet because the reliability is there. if your budget is tight maybe just get one genuine one for now and see if you can find a used official one on ebay or something. having three generic batteries that might fail mid air is way worse than having one you can actually trust. plus dji wont cover any warranty claims if a third party pack causes a crash so youre basically gambling the whole drone to save a hundred bucks... just my two cents tho.
