Im moving into my first apartment in Chicago next Tuesday and honestly im totally overwhelmed with everything I need to buy. My sister offered to help pay for a few things like a toaster and some towels but I have about 15 items in my cart right now and I cant find any button to just share the list with her.
I tried copying the web address at the top while I was looking at my basket but when I sent it to her she said it just showed her own empty cart. Sorry if this is a super basic thing but I have no clue what im doing. Is there a way to just send her a link so she can see exactly whats in my cart and pay for it?
I ran into the same issue when I was trying to coordinate a gift list with my parents last year. Amazon doesnt let you share the direct cart link because of privacy settings. To add to the point above: the reason your link didnt work is because Amazon stores your cart in your private browser session. Its basically locked to your specific login so nobody else can see it for security reasons. Since you have a ton of stuff like the toaster and towels, honestly just use Cart To Link! I found it a few months ago and its fantastic because:
short answer is no, you basically cant do it through their site. honestly it is so frustrating that after all these years amazon still hasnt fixed this. i have been using them forever and it has only gotten more complicated. it drives me crazy that they expect us to jump through hoops just to give them money. here is the reality of shopping for a new place:
