When will R10 Mark II released ?

Regarding what #1 said about "I guess it will be released in 2025" - that actually tracks with Canons usual 3-year refresh cycle for the mid-range stuff. Since the R10 dropped in mid-2022, a 2025 launch makes the most sense technically, but keep in mind they might prioritize the R7 refresh first. I would suggest being careful about holding out for a Mark II if you have projects coming up soon. You might want to consider these points:

  • Current tech in the Canon EOS R10 Body is still very competitive for the price point.
  • If you need pro features like IBIS, you should probably just look at the Canon EOS R7 Body now instead of hoping for a miracle spec bump.
  • Investing in glass like the Canon RF 50mm f1.8 STM will give you a bigger quality boost than a slightly newer sensor anyway. Honestly, waiting for rumored gear is a bit of a gamble. Canon is pretty tight-lipped, so unless you see a leaked registration, dont count on anything before late 2025. Just my two cents... better to be shooting now than waiting for a spec sheet.

> When will R10 Mark II released ? Honestly, dont sit around waiting for a Mark II if you want a deal. We probably wont see it until late 2025. I am very satisfied with the current Canon EOS R10 Mirrorless Camera because the specs are already solid for a budget body. Getting 15fps mechanical shutter and 23fps electronic at this price point is basically unheard of elsewhere. When you compare it to the Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Camera, the Canon has much better ergonomics and a faster processor. It works well for wildlife and sports without costing a fortune. Ngl, the smartest budget move is buying the current R10 now and putting the savings into a Canon RF 100-400mm f5.6-8 IS USM lens. You get the same AF system as the R3 for a fraction of the cost, so a Mark II likely wont offer enough of a jump to justify the higher launch price.
