Which Tamron lens is actually the go-to for portraits on a Nikon Z mount right now? honestly im so fed up with overpriced native primes and my 50mm just isnt giving me that bokeh i need for a wedding in seattle next month. im super hyped to ditch my bulky adapter for something under 700 bucks... what should i grab?

I am totally obsessed with the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 for my Nikon Z6 and it would be perfect for that Seattle trip! I remember shooting a rainy garden wedding last year with just a 50mm prime and it was a struggle... I was constantly running around trying to frame shots while getting soaked lol. This lens literally changed everything for me. The bokeh at 75mm is honestly gorgeous and very creamy for a zoom. Since you want to stay under 700, you might need to hunt for a used copy or a good sale, but it is worth it to ditch that clunky adapter. Technically, the VXD motor is silent so you wont ruin the ceremony audio. It also has great weather sealing which is a lifesaver in the PNW! Definitely grab this one over the cheaper Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD if you want that blurry background.
