So I've been using this cheap backpack I got off Amazon for my Sony A7R IV and its just driving me crazy honestly. The straps keep digging into my shoulders and after an hour of hiking my back feels like its gonna snap and it barely fits my 70-200mm lens without feeling like the zipper is gonna burst every time. Im heading to the Dolomites in three weeks for a landscape trip and i desperately need something that wont kill my back. My budget is around 300 bucks give or take. Does anyone have recommendations for a top rated bag that actually fits the A7R series plus a couple of heavy GM lenses comfortably?...

I have utilized a wide range of gear over the years and the Lowepro ProTactic BP 450 AW II 25L is absolutely fantastic for that setup! You wont believe the value compared to boutique brands.

  • The waist belt support is amazing for your back.
  • It accommodates the 70-200mm GM lens perfectly.
  • Professional durability for well under 300 dollars. Its a phenomenal choice for the Dolomites!

Saw this and had to jump in because my first mountain trek was a literal pain with a bad harness. You'll probably like the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Photo Daypack since it's a beast for the price. The 26L capacity fits the 70-200mm GM easily without stressing the zippers.

  • Rear-panel access is clutch in the mud
  • Deep side pockets for big tripods
  • Proper lumbar support Check for open-box deals... usually saves you enough for extra batteries.
