So I finally saved up for the GH6 because I want to start doing wedding videos here in Chicago but honestly I'm ready to throw the thing out the window. Every time I try to move it just looks like a shaky mess and my arms are killing me after five minutes. I tried looking at gimbals online but there are so many brands like DJI and Zhiyun and I have no clue what fits or how they even work. My first gig is in two weeks and I only have about $400 left to spend. Im so lost and feel like a total idiot for buying such a big camera. Which gimbal actually works with this thing without being impossible to set up?

The GH6 body is about 823g, so you need a gimbal with sufficient payload capacity. Given your $400 budget, these two models offer the best performance-to-price ratio:

Tbh weddings are a marathon. I remember my first one, my back was wrecked. I eventually grabbed the Zhiyun Crane 2S 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer because it handles the GH6 chunkiness without the motors screaming.

  • Check eBay or local listings, you can snag one for way under $400.
  • Spend 3 hours just balancing it this weekend.
  • Keep your knees bent when moving. Dont stress, youll get the hang of it.
