I'm freaking out because I have this wedding gig in Philly next Saturday and my neck is already killing me just testing my D850 and the 70-200 f/2.8 glass. It's just so heavy.

I looked at the Peak Design Slide since everyone loves those anchors but I'm worried the padding isn't thick enough for a full day of shooting. Then I saw the BlackRapid Breathe stuff which looks way more ergonomic but my logic was that I dont really trust that single screw point on the bottom? Like what if it unscrews and my gear hits the pavement? I need something that wont kill my shoulder after 10 hours. What are you guys actually using for these massive Nikon bodies...

Honestly, I've been super satisfied with my gear for years but for that heavy D850 weight you need serious padding.

Unfortunately, most straps are technically insufficient for a 2.5kg load. I've been disappointed by how poorly they manage static tension. For a heavy D850, you need a shock-absorption system. The Op/Tech USA Super Classic Strap with Uni-Loop Connectors uses high-grade neoprene to reduce felt weight by nearly 50 percent. It isnt the most stylish choice, but the technical specs for weight distribution are vastly superior for those 10-hour wedding days.
