just bought a nikon z6 ii for a wedding im shooting this saturday in chicago and im panicking because i only have the body and one lens right now. i read online that i absolutely need cfexpress type b cards for the speed but then some threads say fast v60 sd cards are plenty for stills so im totally lost on what to actually buy. also seeing people argue about the mb-n11 battery grip being too bulky vs being a lifesaver for ergonomics during long shoots. i have about 400 bucks left in my budget and need to order everything tonight. what are the actual must-have accessories i need to get through a 10 hour day without the camera dying or running out of space?

Congrats on the Z6II, its a beast for weddings. Chicago weddings are long and fast-paced though, so dont overcomplicate things with a grip right now. In my experience, that 400 bucks is gonna disappear fast on media and power, which are way more important than ergonomics when youre starting out. First thing, you absolutely need dual slots for a wedding. Period. If one card fails and you lose the first kiss, its game over man. Running a CFexpress in slot 1 and an SD in slot 2 as a mirrored backup is the standard. Since youre on a tight budget, dont stress about getting the absolute fastest card on the planet. V60 SD cards are totally fine for wedding stills, I promise you wont hit the buffer unless youre shooting like a machine gun. Heres what I would grab tonight to survive the day:
