I just got a Nikon Z5 for my trip to Zion next month and honestly I have no idea what I am doing lol. I tried looking at tripods online but there are so many and I dont even know if they fit certain cameras or if it is just like a universal thing? I really dont want the camera to fall off because it was expensive for me.
My budget is maybe 150 bucks. Im sorry if this is a really stupid question but I am just super overwhelmed. Are there any top-rated tripods that are actually good for Nikon mirrorless cameras or can I just buy any random one from a shop?
Yeah, the universal screw makes life easy. For Zion, weight is everything on those trails. I've been really satisfied with these two for my mirrorless setup:
Dont panic! That Z5 is amazing and basically every tripod uses a universal screw. For Zion, you want something light but sturdy.
Unfortunately generic gear has terrible torsional rigidity and poor vibration damping. Dont buy random ones. Just go with Manfrotto, you cant go wrong. Their builds are way more reliable for mirrorless.
