What is a good sturdy tripod for a Nikon Z camera that wont break the bank or fall over? I am literally so confused by all the options online and im terrified of my expensive new camera crashing onto the ground because I picked a cheap one... sorry if this is a really dumb question but I just bought a Nikon Z6II and I have no idea what I am doing.
Im going to Iceland in three weeks for a dream trip and I need something that can handle the wind but still fits in a suitcase. I have like $250 to spend maybe a little more if it is really worth it but I really dont want it to be super heavy to carry around all day. Any ideas??

Late to the thread but im really satisfied with my current setup for my Z6II. It has handled some nasty wind no complaints.
- Sirui AM-254 Carbon Fiber Tripod with K-10X Ball Head: Rock solid because it has no center column to wobble in Iceland wind.
- Vanguard VEO 3T 234AB Aluminum Travel Tripod: Cheaper aluminum option that still holds the Z6II weight without sagging issues. The Sirui is basically the best bang for your buck technical-wise.

Honestly, I totally get the anxiety. Seeing a Z6II hit the rocks would be a nightmare... I've been super happy with my setup lately, it's held up great in some pretty sketchy gusts. Iceland is basically a wind tunnel, so you gotta be smart about it. Couple things that keep me from stressing:
- Always hang your camera bag from the center hook for extra ballast
- Avoid extending the skinniest leg sections if the wind really picks up I've had no complaints with the Leofoto LS-284C Ranger Series Carbon Fiber Tripod with LH-30 Ball Head. It's rock solid because it ditches the center column entirely, which is way safer in my experience. If you want a more traditional brand, the Manfrotto BeFree Advanced Twist Lever Aluminum Travel Tripod is a great alternative that fits the budget and feels very secure. Definitely worth spending a bit more for the peace of mind.

Unfortunately, travel tripods often lack necessary stability for Iceland. I've had issues with light gear before.
