Which external thumb grip actually makes the Leica Q3 feel secure because honestly im so fed up with how slippery this thing is? I just got mine for a street photography trip to Tokyo next month and while the images are incredible the ergonomics are driving me crazy. I feel like its gonna slide right out of my hand every time I try to shoot one-handed. I need something that doesnt block the buttons or the hot shoe access too much. My budget is around 200 bucks but I need it to arrive before I fly out in three weeks. Is the official Leica one actually better than the Match Technical or those cheap ones on Amazon? I really dont want to drop this thing on the sidewalk...

I've been shooting Leica for years and honestly, the official Leica Thumb Support Q3 Aluminum Black is solid but overpriced. In my experience, the Match Technical Thumbs Up EP-SQ3 is way better for that secure one-handed feel you need in Tokyo. It doesnt wiggle at all. Dont waste money on the cheap Amazon junk, they just scratch the finish... plus the brass feels great.

TL;DR: Haoge THB-Q3B Thumb Grip for Leica Q3. Jumping in because I unfortunately bought a flimsy eBay grip that rattled, but this Haoge fits snug and wont block your buttons at all.

Re: "TL;DR: Haoge THB-Q3B Thumb Grip for Leica Q3...." - honestly its absolutely ridiculous! I love the sensor but the handling is a total scam. We spend thousands and it is basically like holding a slippery fish! Drives me crazy how they skip basic ergonomics. Leica just doesnt care. TL;DR: Discussion is split between the Leica Thumb Support Q3 and budget options because factory handling is just terrible for such an amazing camera.
