Honestly so fed up with the thin strap that came with my X-Pro3 it just digs in after an hour of street shooting in London and my neck is killing me. Im looking for something way more padded for my trip next week but budget is $50 max... which neck strap is actually comfortable for long days?

The Peak Design Slide Lite 32mm Camera Strap works. Its 32mm width manages the X-Pro3 load well for under fifty bucks. Low-friction nylon handles 90kg of tension. It's decent.

Just catching up on this thread and honestly, the quality of most modern straps is pretty disappointing. Its frustrating how many brands prioritize aesthetics over actual neck support and long-term durability. I have tried several mid-range options that ended up being a complete waste of money because the padding was basically non-existent.

  • Op/Tech USA Fashion Strap Braid Neoprene is about the only thing in that price bracket that actually cushions the weight, tho it looks a bit utilitarian.
  • MegaGear Sierra Series Padded Leather Camera Strap provides a bit more cushion than the stock one without looking like a gym bag strap. Unfortunately, most budget options are just too stiff for an X-Pro3 and dont distribute the weight well enough for an all-day street session. Always check the lug protectors frequently. I have seen too many cheap straps fail at the attachment points lately... its just not as good as it used to be.

Quick reply while I have a sec because I know that neck pain too well. I remember my first week with the X-Pro series and man, that stock strap is such a joke. I actually ended up with red marks on my neck after a long weekend in the city. Since then, ive been using the Op/Tech USA Super Classic Strap Uni-Loop and honestly havent looked back. Its made of neoprene so it has this slight bounce that basically kills the perceived weight of the camera. I did a twelve-hour stint shooting street stuff in NYC last summer and didnt feel a thing the next morning. The material is thick enough that it doesnt bite into your neck like those thin nylon ones do. Plus, its super cheap, usually under thirty bucks. Its not the most high-fashion looking piece of gear but for long days its a lifesaver. No complaints at all after three years of heavy use.

Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.
