What are the best low-profile thumb grips and straps for the X-E4 that dont get in the way of the dials? I've been a Fuji shooter forever but this body is way more slippery than my old X-T series and I'm low-key panicking about dropping it during my London street trip next week. I already tried one cheap grip but it blocked the exposure compensation dial which is basically a dealbreaker for me. Looking to spend maybe $100 total for both a strap and a grip. Is the Lensmate one actually worth the premium or should I look at something else that wont bulk up the rangefinder profile? I really need this sorted before Tuesday...

The X-E4 is definitely a slippery bar of soap, so I totally get the panic. I am super happy with the Lensmate X-E4 Folding Thumb Grip Black Aluminum because it solves the dial issue perfectly with that little hinge.

Just catching up on this thread and wanted to jump in because the X-E4 has some weird ergonomics if you arent careful. Quick question though... what lenses are you taking to London? If youre just using the tiny pancakes the balance is fine, but if you have a heavier f1.4 prime, the grip choice becomes way more critical for safety. You can definitely stay well under that 100 dollar limit if you look at these specific ones:

  • JJC TA-XE4 Metal Thumb Up Grip for Fujifilm X-E4 is a solid budget alternative that has a cutout specifically so it wont block the exposure dial. Just be careful when you first slide it on because the tolerances can be tight and you dont want to scratch the hot shoe finish.
  • VKO Soft Cotton Camera Wrist Strap Black is super low profile and basically disappears when you wrap it around your hand. I would suggest checking for a grip that has a small rubber or silicone pad on the contact points. It helps keep things snug without having to crank it down. Let me know about those lenses tho so I can give better info on the weight distribution.

^ This. Also, I usually stick with fixed hardware to avoid mechanical failure. The Haoge THB-X4B Thumb Up Rest for Fujifilm X-E4 is a solid alternative that leaves plenty of room for your thumb and the exposure dial. For a strap, check out the Gordy's Camera Straps Leather Wrist Strap with O-ring. It is genuine leather and very secure if you are worried about drops. It isnt going to fail you on a long trip...
