Which camera strap is most comfortable for a Fujifilm X100V?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a camera strap for the X100V that actually feels good after carrying it around all day? I finally snagged one of these cameras for my trip to Tokyo next month and Im trying to figure out the best way to carry it while walking like 20,000 steps a day.

Ive been looking at the Peak Design Leash because everyone talks about those quick connectors and they seem super handy for switching between a neck strap and a wrist strap, but honestly it looks a bit too techy for the retro vibe of the Fuji. Then I saw those thin leather cord straps from Gordys. They look cool but I read that leather can be really stiff at first and take weeks to break in, and I dont have that much time before I leave.

Basically I need something that fits these criteria:

  • stays under a $70 budget if possible
  • doesnt look like a generic cheap nylon strap
  • is soft enough to not chafe my neck during a long day of street photography
  • isnt too bulky to shove in a small sling bag

My main worry is that a lot of the thin minimalist straps might dig into my neck after a few hours even though the X100V isnt that heavy compared to a big DSLR. Is there something that hits that middle ground of looking stylish but actually being functional for long days of shooting? Im mostly worried about it being itchy or too stiff right out of the box...

TL;DR: Grab a VKO Camera Neck Strap Soft Cotton Rope. Unfortunately, pricey leather is often too stiff and not as good as expected. This rope is cheap and wont chafe.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've gotta say that cotton rope can actually get pretty scratchy once you're sweating through a humid day in Tokyo. I used one for a while but it just didn't sit right against my skin. A few years ago I picked up the Artisan and Artist ACAM-102 Acrylic Cloth Strap and I've been super happy with it ever since. It feels like a soft seatbelt material but way more premium. Unlike leather it doesnt need any break-in time at all... basically soft as butter from day one. It folds up so small that I can wrap it around the lens when I toss the camera in my bag. Quick tip: always make sure your strap has those little leather lug protectors so the metal rings dont scratch your Fuji's top plate. It keeps that retro aesthetic you're after without being a literal pain in the neck.
