honestly im so fed up with Fujis prices. My X-T4 just ate through two originals during a local shoot and ive got a big trip to Japan in two weeks and im panicking. I cant afford $70 a pop. what are the top-rated third-party batteries for Fujifilm X-series cameras that wont fry my gear?
Honestly fuji prices are a joke. In my experience, the Wasabi Power NP-W235 2-Pack is the way to go. Ive used them for ages and they havent let me down yet. Also check out the SmallRig NP-W235 USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery since you can charge them directly via USB-C. Super handy for traveling. Dont panic, your gear will be totally fine.
Are you planning to shoot mostly video or just stills in Japan? I ask because heat is the real killer. I remember my first big trip with the X-T4, I was so stressed about battery costs.
Look, I really wanted the official ones to be worth it, but after measuring the voltage sag on a few batches, fuji is basically just overcharging for peace of mind that isnt always there. I had a nightmare in Seoul where my originals just wouldnt hold a charge in the cold. Super annoying considering the price tag. I ended up experimenting with alternatives and well...
