I just got the Fuji XS20 for my big trip to Tokyo in three weeks and honestly I am so overwhelmed. This is my first real camera ever and I have no idea what I am doing I feel like I am going to break it or just get bad footage. I want to film our walks and some food stuff but the box didnt really come with anything extra.

My budget is pretty tight now like maybe $200 max since the camera cost so much money already. Do I need like a special handle or a mic or something to make the video not shaky? What are the absolute must have things I need to buy before I leave so I dont mess this up...

> Do I need like a special handle or a mic or something to make the video not shaky? Unfortunately, the IBIS isnt as smooth as I hoped. I had issues with weird corner warping on my last trip... honestly so frustrating. Tip: turn on "IS Boost" only when standing still. Real quick tho, which lens are you using? If its the kit zoom, youll definitely need a SmallRig NP-W235 USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery because video drains these things way too fast.

Late to the party but I wanted to mention something folks usually forget till they're actually out filming. If you're shooting video in bright daylight in Tokyo, your footage is gonna look choppy because you cant get that motion blur look without a variable ND filter. It's basically sunglasses for your lens. Grab a K&F Concept 58mm Variable ND Filter ND2-ND400 or whatever size matches your lens. It's a lifesaver for making street shots look professional. Also, dont skimp on the SD card. 4K video eats space and needs speed. I'd grab at least two SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB UHS-I V30 SDXC cards. They're reliable and wont break the bank. Since you're worried about breaking stuff, a cheap ULBTER Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Fujifilm X-S20 is a no-brainer. It's way cheaper than a screen repair. You got this, the XS20 is a beast once you get the hang of it... just keep shooting.

Unfortunately, the internal mic is pretty disappointing for street noise. I had issues with wind ruining my audio before and it was basically unusable... skip the expensive gimbals for now. Just get a Ulanzi MT-08 Extension Pole Tripod for better handling and a Rode VideoMicro II Ultracompact Shotgun Microphone. It keeps things steady and sounds way better than the camera alone without blowing your budget.
