I finally pulled the trigger on a DJI Mini 4 Pro for my trip to the Swiss Alps next month but Im stuck on the storage. I really dont want to deal with dropped frames or that annoying slow SD card warning while Im high up. Ive been looking at two main options:
The Samsung is a bit cheaper right now but Ive always used SanDisk in my old cameras. Is the extra speed on the Samsung actually noticeable for 4K 60fps or should I just stick with the brand I know? Budget is about 60 bucks for a 256GB card. Which one would you go with for reliability?
Honestly SanDisk has been super disappointing lately. Like someone mentioned, reliability is everything. Ive switched to these options:
I would suggest the Samsung PRO Ultimate 256GB microSDXC. I used to stick with SanDisk, but a card failure during a trip to Iceland totally ruined my sunset footage. Now I am way more cautious. Just make sure to test whatever you buy before the Alps... fake cards are everywhere. The Samsung has been super reliable for 4K 60fps and doesnt overheat as much as my old ones.
Just catching up... are you using D-Log M? Higher bitrates need better sustained speeds, so the SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB microSDXC V30 is safer so you dont hit buffer issues on long flights.
