Are third-party propellers safe to use on the DJI Mavic 3?

I saw some guys on YouTube saying those orange Master Airscrew blades are way quieter but then this one forum thread mentioned motor overheating issues on the Mavic 3. My logic was its just plastic so how can it hurt but now Im scared of bricking my $2k drone before my shoot in Chicago next Tuesday. Is it actually safe?

tbh I've used Master Airscrew Stealth Propellers for DJI Mavic 3 for a while and they're totally fine. You're actually saving a bit of cash compared to buying individual sets from DJI if you grab their bundles.

  • The sound is way less whiny, more of a low hum.
  • Battery life stays about the same.
  • Never saw any motor heat issues myself. Just dont fly like a maniac on your first battery and you'll be golden for Chicago.

Re: the MAS props, they're decent but ngl I trust DJI Mavic 3 Low-Noise Propellers for reliability. Check out Gemfan 9453F Carbon Fiber Propellers for Mavic 3 if you want less flex tho.

To add to the point above: totally agree that reliability is the big winner here! It might feel like youre saving a few bucks with random off-brand props, but the potential repair bill for a Mavic 3 is just huge! Definitely just stick to the high-quality stuff so you dont ruin that Chicago trip. Its gonna be an amazing shoot, trust me!
